Image Intensifier Tube Type: Standard Generation 2
Image Tube Summary: A Standard Generation 2 image tube is a gigantic step up from a Gen 1+. It's like a motorcycle being compared to a bicycle! First off there is no Gen 1 image distortion so your field of view is increased by 35 to 40 percent. Secondly the tube life is typically 3 times longer with the Gen 2. Third, although Infrared Illuminators are usually very helpful this Gen 2 device does not need Infrared Illumination to work thus allowing a user to operate passively/undetected by other night vision as well as animals. This is the level where real night vision begins.

The ATN PS22-2 is an attachment for a Daytime Riflescopes with 1x Magnification that convers Scope into a high-quality very accurate Night Vision Weapon Sight. The ATN PS22-2 System mounts in front of a Daytime Scope. Re-zeroing of the scope is not required. The ATN PS22-2 comes standard with 7/8" weaver mount. There is also an Adapter for ARMS quick release mount. Optional Ring Adapters allow to mount the unit onto the objective of the Daytime Scope (25...62mm diameter). The IR Illuminator can be mounted onto the optional Picatinny Rail. The ATN PS22 Scope utilizes a 2nd+ Gen. or 3rd Gen. Image Intensifier Tube. This ingenious setup allows the shooter to go from day to night in less than 30 seconds without tools, without changes in eye relief and remain zeroed all around the clock. The ATN PS22-2 is a complex optical-electronic system. The device contains an Image Intensifier Tube assembly with an integrated high-voltage power source and the three volt battery housing.
