Going… Going… Almost Gone!….Best Buy Night Vision Scope
The best buy in night vision scopes are close to being a thing of the past. Imagine close to generation 3 performance combined with real Mil-Spec quality and durability. Top that off with a quick release mount and a very light 34 ounces of weight and what do you have. Drum roll please…. the legendary M-845 Mil- Spec weapon sight. What’s an M-845 you say? In short they are ex-military scopes made by Litton that have been “refurbished” by the manufacturer. For the most part these scopes have probably never seen any use at all as they look brand new. They have beautiful Gen 2 image tubes in them which are likely HP grade tubes based on how close they are to Gen 3 performance. Anyway what you end up getting is a rock solid night vision scope that performs on the level of most $3000 scopes for only $1750.00! These scopes have a very fast red dot reticle that adjusts from brighter to dimmer with a reticle off position so it can be used as a viewer. These units are great for hog hunting or home security. They are easy to use and have 2.8x of magnification which gives a great balance of field of view and magnification allowing fast accurate short and mid-range shooting. We’ve had these units side by side with scopes costing over 4K and the M-845 kept right up. The difference between the two scopes being a little less brightness and a little less distance on the 845. Would we rather have the D-740 scope we tested it against, sure would but at 85% of the capability and only 40% of the cost the M-845 is an anomaly in the night vision world. There simply is no other night vision device even close to this performance for under $2500. Remember these scopes were not made to meet a price point like most products you see at this price. These units were built for the military so everything about them is top quality; from the lenses to the power supplies it’s all top of the line. The sad news is that when their gone they are likely gone forever. When the supply dries up and it’s getting very low now, no one will be making them again as they would be extremely expensive to produce at that level of quality they are. If you have been wanting a real deal night vision scope and don’t have 4K to drop on one I would encourage you to get one of these scopes while you still can. Without the M-845 scopes available the choices left in the 1k to 2.5k price range are quite disappointing as none of them even come close to this performance or quality.
