Image Tube Summary: A High Performance Generation 2 Image Tube is the best Gen 2 image tube available. It gives vastly superior performance than the lessor Gen 2 MS (Mil-Spec) or Gen 2 ST (Standard) image tubes. The performance is very close to Gen 3, however the image tube life is usually quite a bit shorter than a Generation 3 image tube so when available in a similar price range we recommend going with the Gen 3 unit.

The PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles are the most recognized night vision device in the world. These combat proven night vision goggles are the standard issue in every modern military. With a high performance Gen 2 image tube, the PVS-7 will not disapoint. The single tube, bi-ocular configuration provides an excellent performance to cost ratio, and is known for it's rock solid reliability and excellent performance. The versatile, combat-proven PVS-7 can be used as a hands-free goggle or a hand-held, long-range observation device when coupled with optional 3x, 4x and 5x magnifiers. With a single Image Inten dual-eye configuration, the PVS-7 provides an excellent performance-to-cost ratio.
The PVS-7 features simple user controls, fully automated image tube protection, a built-in infrared illuminator with a momentary and continuous-on switch plus IR operation and low battery indicators displayed within the user�s field of view.
The fast (f1.12) one-power lens provides optimal low-light capabilities as well as freedom of movement for completely handsfree operation.
