Image Tube Summary: Simply put our ITT Pinnacle image tubes are the elite level of night vision image intensifier tubes. These tubes are what is currently being used by our US Military and are currently available for civilian use, however export of these units from the U.S. like all Gen 3 equipment is strictly prohibited without a proper export license. These ITT Pinnacle image tubes are equipped with autogated power supplies that allow these units to excel in all low light conditions regardless of artificial "light pollution "that exists in urban areas. The PVS-7 Night Vision Goggles are the most recognized night vision device in the world. These combat proven night vision goggles are the standard issue in every modern military. With a high-gain Gen 3 image tube, the PVS-7 will meet or exceed any expectations. The single tube, bi-ocular configuration provides an excellent performance to cost ratio, and is known for it's rock solid reliability and excellent performance. The versatile, combat-proven PVS-7 can be used as a hands-free goggle or a hand-held, long-range observation device when coupled with optional 3x, 4x and 5x magnifiers. With a single Image Inten dual-eye configuration, the PVS-7 provides an excellent performance-to-cost ratio.
The PVS-7 features simple user controls, fully automated image tube protection, a built-in infrared illuminator with a momentary and continuous-on switch plus IR operation and low battery indicators displayed within the user�s field of view.
The fast (f1.12) one-power lens provides optimal low-light capabilities as well as freedom of movement for completely handsfree operation.

Title: Big thumbs up.
These night vision goggles are the real deal. You can clearly see hundreds of yards in the pitch dark without any problem. Military quality. Run on regular AA batteries that seem to last a long time as I haven't needed to change them yet. My only complaint is the head attachment isn't very comfortable but I can hold them up like binoculars if I don't want to wear them on my head. These PVS-7 goggles are 100 times better than the cheap night vision I used to use!
