Image Tube Summary: Simply put our ITT Pinnacle image tubes are the elite level of night vision image intensifier tubes. These tubes are what is currently being used by our US Military and are currently available for civilian use, however export of these units from the U.S. like all Gen 3 equipment is strictly prohibited without a proper export license. These ITT Pinnacle image tubes are equipped with autogated power supplies that allow these units to excel in all low light conditions regardless of artificial "light pollution "that exists in urban areas. This autogating greatly reduces "halo" around any light sources and also eliminates the need for the unit to go into light-overload safety shutdown when exposed to excessive light. If you will be using your night vision device in urban areas or in "light polluted" situations than this image tube will double your night vision capability!

The D-321 (Generation 3) high performance, modular, hand-held night vision goggle uses dual image intensifier tubes to provide crisp, clear images in the darkest conditions.

This versitle night vision goggle includes the advanced features of automatic brightness and gain control. Each image tube operates independently allowing for superior depth perception as compared to single image tube devices. This dual tube (steroscopic) design also emulates a more natural vision due to the fact that each eye sees its' own slightly different image, just like natural unaided vision. The unique patented design eliminates any need for interpupillary adjustment and reduces the size and weight of the unit. An integrated near IR illuminator enhances the ability to operate the goggle in confined dark spaces.

The D-321G Goggle with 1x objectives and 40� field of view attaches quickly to an ambidextrous headgear assembly for hands-free opperation. With replaced front objectives, the goggle converts easily into the powerful D-321B 3.6x night vision Binocular.

Title: Great wildlife observation tool.

I wanted to give a short review of this product which we find to be quite excellent. If you are looking to observe nocturnal wildlife I can say that these night vision goggles are the best we have ever used. They are comfortable and easy to use without being too heavy and they fit in your hands well. The quality of the night vision is absolutely outstanding even on the darkest of nights they still are fantastic. They perform equally well on both birds including waterfowl and mammals as well. We have traveled all across the US and have had the opportunity to use many professional night vision devices but these are by far our favorites. Using the optional 3.6x lenses we can switch between magnified and unmagnified which gives us versatility for any situation we encounter. Our honest opinion is that they are the best night vision goggles on the market. Thank you.
