Seven hogs in my first three nights with my new D-740 scope. Conditions were very dark with a lot of cloud cover however the scope performed flawlessly. Bright clear image with accuracy out to 220 yards on my longest shot. I sighted the scope in during the day with no problems. The quick detach base is great and keeps my zero even when I take the scope off to store in my gun safe. I keep a spare pair of double A batteries with me so I can replace them in the field if they run out, haven't needed to yet. I have it mounted on a .270 Winchester and no problems with recoil so far - the D-740 is rated for .50 BMG so my .270 shouldn't be any problem. The scope was more than I wanted to spend but with optics you get what you pay for and especially being that night vision is electronic I wanted the best quality. Should of bought this a long time ago as the hogs are out of control around here and night hunting is really the only efficient way to control them. Great piece of equipment turns night into day!

I am extremely happy with this night vision scope. It can reach out over 300 yards in almost any conditions. I bought the K2 IR illuminator for it, which is very helpful on cloudy dark nights. It handles my .308 recoil with no problem and was easy to sight in. Came with a very nice quick detach base that goes on and off a Picatinny rail with out loosing zero. I let two of my friends try it out and the next day they ordered their own 740 scopes. This is a product that sells itself. After looking through it you will know you just gotta have one. Awesome piece of equipment.
