The Mini-14 Night Vision Monocular Goggles have been developed as an
alternative to the US Military issue AN/PVS-14. This design was driven by the need for a submersible
device, which is lighter, more versatile, and easier to use in situations where standard equipment is
inadequate. The use of monocular goggles has become increasingly popular with military forces, because it
reduces the problems caused by temporary night-blindness, and allows peripheral use of the operator’s
second eye. Capable of operating in depths of over 60 feet, using a single battery (works with AA or
CR123), and incorporating headgear and a weapon mount as its standard accessories, the Mini-14 goggles are
capable of handling any task set before them. Precision ground lenses produce distortion free viewing, and
the Mini-14’s short length gives it a full 40-degree field of view. When it comes to excellent images
from compact night vision goggles, the Mini-14 is hard to beat. The Mini-14 night vision goggles ship with
a soft carry case, quick-realease mil-spec headgear and adapter for hands free viewing, a quick release
weapon mount, extra brow pads, demist sheild, sacraficial window, one 3v cr123 battery, one AA battery,

Night Optics MINI-14-B Gen 3 Night Vision Goggles: The Mini-14-B night vision monocular goggles are
built around an image tube with a B-grade blemish rating (low occurrence) and 51 l/mm minimum resolution
(57 l/mm typical). These devices will have a higher blemish frequency and/or intensity than the Standard
and A-grade Mini-14 goggles. Any blemishes will appear as black specs, with a frequency and intensity
deemed not to detract from normal viewing.
Night Optics MINI-14-ST Gen 3 Night Vision Goggles: The Mini-14-ST night vision monocular goggles
are built around an image tube with an A to B intermediate blemish rating and 51 l/mm minimum resolution
(64 l/mm typical). These devices will have a slightly higher occurrence of blemishes than the A-grade
Mini-14 goggles.
Night Optics MINI-14-A Gen 3 Night Vision Goggles: The Mini-14-A night vision monocular goggles are
built around an image tube with an A-grade blemish rating and 64 l/mm minimum resolution. These devices
will have a minimal occurrence of blemishes.
